Catch up with KCH

January 2023

Our hardworking team

Our fabulous maintenance department guys work round the clock to keep KCH clean and running smoothly.

Social work

Social workers Mercy, Geoffrey and Peter, led by Social Programs Manager Madam Pauline have been very busy in their office preparing the children as they returned to school this week.  The team are responsible for admissions, education, home and school visits and oversee adoption and foster care processes at KCH.

Baby Chesuro

We recently celebrated baby Chesuro's nursery exit party and welcomed her into new 'house' family. When the little ones we care for in the abandoned baby unit and nursery turn 2 they move into one of our family units. Baby Chesuro will ive with 12-16 children, with a dedicated house mother providing maternal care and protection. The children live as siblings, creating as close to a family environment as possible, and when old enough Chesuro will go on to receive a fantastic education at our Jonathan Gloag Academy.

St Austin's Academy visit

St Austin's Academy, one of the International Schools in Kenya, visited the children to provide mentorship and bring donations. We all had a wonderful visit and are so thankful for their support.

Kibera Slum

15 children from Kibera Slum picked their school uniforms and supplies ready to join our Jonathan Gloag Academy for the new school year. We were delighted to support these youngsters on their academic journey.

Steplabs Technical Services

Supporters from Steplabs Technical Services visited the orphanage to bring donations. We were delighted to welcome them and are very grateful for their support.
